What I do know is that we have some injuries, but I still don't think Texas was as good as advertised our defense makes avg. BCS QB's look like Tom Brady/ The runs Colt McCoy had were ridiculous it looked like we just made him run over us…I bet money he won't run over any other defense like that all season long. This was a half played game, since rusty was out the game was handed to TExas at 7:25 left to play in the 3rd quarter.
McCoy isn't an avg BCS QB. In his FR year he tied the then FR TD mark while missing 1 game with injuries and playing injured in another. He had the OL from the BCS title that year. Last year he had a young and injury riddled OL that had FR start at every OL position and spent the year running for his life. That OL finally came together and got healthy for the Holiday Bowl. McCoy averages about 50 yards a game running and that is against Ds that respect his running ability and don't drop 7 back in coverage as FAU frequently did. McCoy ran for ~90 against against Az St in 3 quarters in the Holiday Bowl. He ran for over 100 against OK ST.
As for Rusty Smith, the game was 42-10 when he got lifted. Texas made half time adjustments that pretty much shut down the FAU passing attack in the second half and Rusty was getting hit a lot. You need him for the whole season it was the right call.

Arkie State got lucky
Lucky enough to have 5 more first downs than Texas A&M
Lucky enough to have 122 more yards rushing.
Lucky enough to outgain TAMU by 112 yards.
Lucky enough to hold the ball for nearly 7 minutes more than TAMU
Lucky enough to overcome TAMU being called for ONE penalty
Lucky enough to over come scoring only one TD on five red zone chances.
Congrats ArkSt fan on a good win. Good for you guys and the SBC…But can we not have an arguement between ASU and TAMU fans on this board?

Just because he is very good at getting rid of the ball and not taking a sack doesn't mean Texas wasn't hitting him.
