If you're banking on a 10-2 or 9-3 season, you're in for a let down.  I think somewhere between a 5-7 and 7-5 could be reality.  I'd be shocked if we don't win at least 4 games.

I am glad I am not the only believing the hype.  I truly believe this team can win 6 games this season.  The following are definitely possibly wins;

Wagner - Better win
MTSU - Good game to see how the year is going to go
ULM
USA - Another better win
Troy
WKY - I still am not buying the hype
FIU - Screw the kitties
ULL

That is 2 solids and 6 definitely possible = 6+ wins

Don't sleep on WKU. Their O prolly won't be as strong as it was last year, but their D is a force to be reckoned with. I think that all around the Belt, this could be a very solid year.

She followed it up by saying she was "sworn to secrecy" and can't post pictures. I can respect that. Don't want her to lose her job. Besides, the first game is four weeks from Friday so it's not like we have to wait that long to find out.

I think we can all agree that there is some talent on this football team and a big issue from last year was with the coaching staff so the biggest delta for me right now is CP and crew. They are doing ALL of the right things right now but a live bullet hasn't been fired yet, and everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. Thankfully this isn't CPs first head coaching gig but there will definitely be a few occasions where inexperience can rear it's ugly head.

 All very true, but at least the first few weeks are pretty much set….Wagner is a win and Alabama and Georgia are loses….our season starts after the back to back bodybags…The difference for us will be whether we show up for either one of those games…If we make it a game with Georgia for 3 quarters, my optimism will skyrocket…

True their D appears to be pretty good but when you look at the numbers it really was not, ESPECIALLY vs. the spread. Inyards allowed in Belt games;
Arky St. - 444
MTSU - 482
Louisiana - 540
ULM - 456

And they stopped the run vs. NT and Trao but gave up 254 and 303 yards passing to each respectively!

Not to mention 436 total yards to FCS Indiana St.

Phil Steele say they have one of the best secondaries in the Belt but I say the numbers don't reflect that AT ALL

With our new O and new stable of WR's/TE's AND they will have never seen this particular O ever before, they won't be able to just load the box like they did to us in our own home last year. I can't tell you how many times they had a single safety and yet we ran, ran, ran NEVER ONCE trying a downfield pass other than an occasional short post route. Man our Coacing sucked last year!

I predict we beat them and beat them good!

Dieter is looking into it as well to see if he can find something out there. I would think they would want to show them off. Maybe at Fan Fest?

I think reality will be around 6 wins.........If the coaching staff stays together and recuruiting goes well 2013 will be the year things get interesting. German and his development will be the key to wins this year.

You're right about that, my second biggest fear is that we kill it, and CP gets offers from the Big146 or something and we can't come close to hanging with it and he's gone. We'll also have to accept the fact that it's likely we lose some assistants every year, if they are good, poaching will happen.

Hopefully they see exactly what they sell to these kids and FAU could be something serious, and fast.
