As for how Rusty will play against MSU. He should play well. He had 192 yards against Texas in the first quarter!!! I don't necessarily expect the same against MSU because he won't have the ball as much. MSU will grind away at our defense and the clock by putting together long, punishing drives on the ground. A conservative estimate is that Rusty will finish with 280-330 yards passing for the game.

one point that i think most of you are missing is texas is ranked 8th in the country, MSU is ranked about 50th. where much closer to MSU than Texas. MSU will have its flaws too. I'm mean texas is favored by 24 over arkansas this week. I know arkansas is having a down year but its still arkansas.

council should help and the defense should be settled this week. I'm not saying there going to hold them to 15 points but like i said before, 34 should be there goal, 4 td's and two field goals. Rusty and Co. will have atleast a shot to put up that many.

You know what's sad about that? Rusty could throw for 300-500 yards and we could still lose.

Texas and Michigan State run very different offenses. Texas runs a quick hit type of attack where MSU tries to slow down the game and eat up clock. They will really implement this against FAU in order to keep Rusty on the sidelines. The end result is that FAU won't have the ball enough for Rusty to put up 350+. This is just my opinion, but it is an informed one.

Good point…

Given the weather, etc think we will see our first TO or two in this game…and that could change this outlook a bit as well…

Possibly. At least they should have time to gain some composure and settle in.

The thing I am worried about is that MSU is going to pound our defense for 6,7,8 yards a clip and just punish them for long, time consuming, 80 yard drives. If that is the case it could be a very long day.
