Regardless, thinking about the future here! Which is better for the long term, beating a "given opponent", or knocking of someone in doubt?

Would rather we start flat and finish 4-4 in the league.

3-5 is not a good as 4-4 for the big picture when the season ends, IMO.

Losing to Wagner would be a disaster. Opening game at home, start of Czar Pelini Era, against a lower division opponent. Can happen, but would be a nightmare.
Four wins? Not likely, especially if Graham Wlbert is QB.
Best chances: Wagner, ULM, SoBama, WKU would be my picks. ULL could be beatable, but far too many questions about this team to think beyond beating Wagner.

What is with the negativity about us losing to Wagner. I have faith in Coach P and his staff to get the team ready. I have faith in the team to beat Wagner, and start the season right.
