Dave Lamont (our TV announcer and local sports personality) discussed this briefly on the Paul and Young Ron show this morning on my way to work. The more exposure the better.

Finally, a big congrats to Jared Allen, what a great thing to happen to a stand-up guy.

That is wonderful news! His talent shows he deserves a shot. My wife and I, who went to darned near all the home games and a few road games before we moved out of the area, thought he was a very decent guy off the field, too. In Year Two, though, we worried whether he would survive the onrushing defenses. The poor guy got hammered frequently. We wish him the very best.

That's great news. Hang in there Jared and continue to makes us all proud Owl fans!!!.

He did get hammerred those first two year, I also remeber a lot of dropped passed that didn't help. The first two year the offense was very basic, conservative and predictable made it easy for the defenses to load-up on him. The kid has shown resiliency and proved to be dependable, especially with the game on the line, he had a way of keeping the gang together and give the team a chance - very few QB's show that type of tenacity.

The angle looks like the FAU sideline where he's running out of bounds. That will explain the empty East end section. :( That will soon change..

O.G. - I believe that is O'connor - Romero retired at the end of the 2002 season.
