Kiffin to FSU?

Post

In regards to FSU, I don't think Lane is on the list at all:

As for if/when he does leave FAU, I think the next coach kind of depends on the state of the program at the time.  If the Owls are in a run of multiple C-USA championships, nice bowl appearances, putting up good fights or even beating P5 schools, etc. then you can go after a different kind of coach.  Landing Kiffin after 3 straight 3-9 seasons is probably a lucky break, but Lane being successful ultimately makes the job more marketable to the next guy.

And regarding Leavitt, one of the other articles I ready somebody else already mentioned they wanted to keep Briles as the OC, but it also said they wanted to retain Jim Leavitt, too.

I know FSU alums told me in 2017 that no way they were going to schedule in a 2017 bowl especially after a top 10 UF (at the time) almost lost to FAU at Gainesville in OT to a 3-9 FAU team in 2015. (Partridge?)

They played Boise (at Boise in 2020) and USF (2-1) I am sure they are not ducking us.
