That's only going to work if you do the "quiet down" motion with your arms while looking at the people around you. That seems to work. Enough people doing that and we're in business.

In defense of the students during the national anthem, I was on the vistor sideline in the section next to the students and the PA system is so bad, I wasn't even aware they were playing the National Anthem until it was over and the band left the field.  You just couldn't hear anything.

Agreed 150%. I didn't hear anything. It was just dead air time…

I tried the whole arm waving thing and people around me and the people I'm with tried it too but people don't seem to listen, they just cheer louder until we yell SHUT UP!

As far as the players raising their hands for noise at that point people I don't think knew what that meant and just got really quiet and figured we were out of it why bother

I was like 10 feet from the choir that was singing and could here them fine for the anthem. The problem was the mic that they were usin was placed to far away from them and it didn't pick up their voices well. Our director was on the radio with the announcing people telling them that you couldn't hear anything and nothing happend. Same thing happened at the uab game with the singer. He was supposed to sing the anthem not god bless america. Also think of how those kids felt in the choir when all the heard was the fans shouting rather than people listening to them. I really hope they fix the PA issue soon.

The PA system at Lockhart is simply embarassing. You can't hear anything. This is COLLEGE football, on National TV, and we can't get a PA system to work ? Our high school has better facilities! This was the first and only time I was embarassed to be a FAU fan when those kids were singing the National anthem and our fans were yelliing  ???.

Brogan and Angelos need to get something done ASAP. This makes our college look VERY bad and is unacceptable.
