You don't want Amato.  FSU fans generally hate him, and his stock as a great SoFla recruiter has gone down… way down.

Out of those names, maybe Mike Shula would be worth a call. The other guys are retreads…I think if were going to go outside the "family", we should go after a guy like Billy Gonzales at Florida. He heads the recuiting there. I know he's only a WR coach, but Urban Meyer brought him when he came from Utah. There has to be something there we should take a look at…

Billy Gonzales would be a great fit. He hasn't really been credited with any of the offensive success at Florida. I found it hard to believe that he wasn't promoted to the offensive coordinator after Dan Mullen left for Mississippi State. Gonzales could bring in great recruiting ties. With the on campus stadium coming you would have to think FAU would be an attractive offer.

Whomever they hire has to have the ability to recruit south florida.  We dont have the budget of a UF, we cant recruit nationwide.

A large majority of the UF team is from Florida. Thats why a young guy like Gonzales would be the smart move if we don't decide to promote from within….
