UPDATE: The band is sounding excellent, like a group of double the number of players, say players and the director. A few more people have joined and newcomers are still welcome.

The Marching Owls were supposed to surprise diners in the cafeteria today with a performance and impromptu pep rally, but the hurricane got in the way.

The band seems intent on dragging students into becoming real fans. We should all get behind the effort.

Congrats to the band and your daughter. They will get people in the stands. Bands are a part of college football and it can get contagious.

Plus the TV exposure will let the fans of the surrounding communities realize that we now have a band.

plus its another 100 people in the endzone, which at lockhart can be a lot.

The band definetely helps with the atmosphere at the games - it good to here that more members are joinning the band.
