Not looking good. Brogan claimed we would take them to court. I hope he keeps after it.

I hope so. My glass is half empty on this one, I think litigation may be the only hope for teams like us.

What we need to do if file on our own behalf, but also try to include as many of the other school to join in - power in numbers.

Attendance has nothing to do with an institutions commitment to be at the 1-A level. If a school does have an attendance problem it only effects thats institution chances of attracting any type of bowl games anyway where attendance and drawing power does become a factor. And it also effects the teams a school schedules as home games - so the attendance issue should be dealt at the institution level and where that program wants to be. You shouldn't be forced to attract fans, because it doens't work in the long term.

Hopefully, the Big Headed commitee members will realize how stupid this is and can it for good.

This was ALSO posted on the Sun Belt board regarding the attendance question. Transition label again? Another angle to review it. I guess we'll wait and see after this week's game.

Per the NCAA Manual.

Once a school declares its intent to move from I-A to I-AA it has two years to do so and doesn't HAVE to meet the I-A criteria until the second season.

If FAU had made attendance this year, I suppose they could have gone ahead been classified I-A but they aren't REQUIRED to do it until the 2005 season.

I'm still going to have a good time at the game… 8-)
