MG3 Practicing at WR

Post

It blows my mind it took a year and half to find out that MG can't play QB

That's what I don't understand.  This deep and now our #1 QB is not even a QB any longer.  We can twist this around but this can't be good.  It all might shake out ok in the end and Quez might be the guy but this is strange.

Kind of mystifying, but I'd hate to be the CB lining up against him

You have faith in Pelini's decision  making this is the staff that started Curtis last year and we know how that turned out.

This uneasy feeling in my stomach tells me that it is going to be an exciting first half in Miami Gardens. At which point Graham Wilbert will run out of the tunnel at halftime and lead us to a scoreless second half. Just kidding!

Am I the only one a bit excited about this? The positives behind this could be that Juste is ready to play - now. They want him with the ball in his hands. Or maybe it is Hankerson. Either way the coaches getting paid to make these decisions (and whose jobs really on this) have to be trusted. Which could be a really good thing, or prove a mistake, at which point the 6'5" athlete will move back in from the outside and take the ball under the center.

MGIII teamed with Dukes, McKinley, Stoshak, and the Three-Headed-TE could prove to be quite the spread. Lets see how it plays out.

As long as we throw 5-10 yards we're good…not seeing any reason to be confident in a medium to long game at this point though.

That's not fair, you almost had to start Curtis on principal. GW was far and away the worst QB in college football the season before.

This move, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Part of me wants to think this is all a ruse and Pelini is just gamin' but whatever, I hope some of these guys can play.

I was starting to get excited about the upcoming season but this brought me back down to Earth a little bit. The scrimmage seemed to indicate that German was the guy. Now he's at WR?

Weird.

That said, I like the idea of using multiple QBs on the field at one time. I hope it leads to some creative plays. The offense only scored one TD in the Spring Game and now they only scored one TD in the scrimmage. Considering the reported talent at each position, we should be doing better than that.

I don't think this is so much about MG3 not being able to play QB, as it is we don't have anyone showing up at the #2 WR spot…

Dukes, Stoshak, Richardson, even Kalib Woods... I thought we were fine at WR?

There have been some quotes from CP about how the WRs need to step up, maybe they're not where we need em.

And running with the theory that our top 3 QBs are 3 of the best 11 athletes we have on offense, this move makes sense. You've got one senior and two guys that'll be able to give you a couple years of consistency back there so cp is moving the sr somewhere we need it now. If all QBs are equal in his eyes that is.

We also know that he'll make changes. If Quez is our guy in the first half and he struggles, others will get snaps.
