MTSU Stockstill to interview for ECU opening
MTSU press state he feels he will have a strong team next year, possibly favorites to win the Belt. But losing Diaz as DC is a big blow, No. 1 in conference last year. To compare, MTSU gave up 10 points and over 100 yards less per game than the Owls. And the O is basically Dasher for one more year, if he gets hurt, they are toast! I would let Lockley shadow him all game and every play bust him! No penalties, just clean hard hits every play!
But this does say a lot about Stockstills character, especially compared to the UT coaching situation with Lame Kiffin.

Article claimS Stockstill would have been FIRST Belt head coach to make an "perceived" upward move in the coaching ranks. If true, BOY DOES THAT SUCK AND SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE BELT!
But if you think about it, the Belt has only been an FBS conference since 2001 so very understandable. We are just now starting to see 2 or 3 teams rise to the top and get into a position for coaching recognition.

True, but still kind of pathetic. The Belt is just now getting to be a stepping off point.
Maybe not as far as HC's are concerned….the belt has had a bunch of OC & DC coaches making lateral moves.

I agree. Guys like Howard and Blankley aren't looking to make moves. I am not sure that head coaches moving into bigger conferences says anything about the SunBelt good or bad. Furthermore, I wouldn't leave MTSU for ECU either, the SunBelt is on the same level as Conference USA…they just have more years of football in thier history's for the most part.
