New Bowl in Boca Raton at FAU! Rumor?

I think it would be awsome if we could hold a Bowl game on our campus every year and we should be able to make a strong case for one once the things is build - location, location, location…..

NCAA colleges can no longer have turf on the official playing surface in any color other than green.

hear rumors about a new bowl game in Boca Raton in the near future. ADT as title sponsor. To be played in FAU's new stadium.

Interesting…You know, ADT corporate headquarters are in Boca Raton. Would be a decent deal for both parties involved. I don't say it's true, but is this case of someone playing telephone and getting the story mixed up? I guess what I'm suggesting is, what if FAU has talked to ADT about stadium naming rights (or vise versa)? I can see it getting into hypothetical future bowl discussings, and like a game of telephone…here we are.

Well then automatically, you're talking about a bigger stadium.

These rumors may be from the administration or stadium planning firm putting out feelers to assess the potential revenue the stadium could bring in (and, as a result, how large to make it). If the demand for a Boca Bowl is positive they may be more inclined to be riskier.

The key to the SBC keeping FAU is access to the post season. If the SBC was associated with a bowl here that favored FAU (when eligible) it could make it our permanent conference home.

Keep in mind that even with 30k permanent seats there is still room for several thousand temporary seats in the open end zone.
