FAU should try to brand the owl head with the FAU letters on top.
It is a more compact logo that fits perfectly on the helmet. I like the current one; however, I am not opposed to the owl head.
FAU has like 4 different options of the owl and that simply does not help the brand out there

Not a fan, they remind me too much of Alabama/Penn State.  Our program is not nearly old enough to have "throw back" uniforms or helmets.  We can only "throw back" 12 years.  I like the winged FAU myself.

I was told the athletic dept. is getting away from the owl head and will be using the logo on the helmet going forward for all athletics.

I dont mind them.

My only fear is that the Owl Logo will "blend in" to much into the blue of the Helmet and wont stand out on TV much.

My tought too, the white of the logo needs to be MUCH brighter if it is to be used and seen by the public, TV  or not.

It's a done deal.  Athletic's will use the owl with the wings and not the owl head.  The owl head will still be used by the University, but not athletic's.

I do not know why they chose the flying owl over the owl head.  I do know the new leadership thought athletic's had too many logos and thought it was confusing for building an identity that would become recognizable.
