New York Times Pre-Season: The Quad Countdown

Good discussion…….

i agree with Exit about last year, and i agree with Walty as well…

But i dont believe the media will see us that high…

Regardless, the lower they call our number, the better for us…we fair better as an underdog…….

I dont know where they will see us either and I like the underdog role…but we are capable of playing like the 70th ranked team in the country if we stay healthy.  And just to reiterate, these rankings are a PREDICTION of the upcoming season…not a result of the last.

Where is FAU listed? and where are the other conference opponents?
Could somebody please add the remaining teams?

Yeah, they announce the list one team per day, basically a way to kill the time of the boring summer.
You can see the full articles of every team listed so far at: http://ncaabbs.com/showthread.php?tid=367992

We should appear somewhere in the high 60's in my opinion.

I think we should be happy if we end up right around last year's ranking.

No we shouldn't, we should be making strides every year.  Rusty had a seperated shoulder for the first half of the season last year…why would we be happy with the same results his Senior year w/Harmon back?

Because we lost our top tackler, safeties, new linebacker corps, new guys on the line including a new center… who knows how this will shake out?

You are going to lose things every year in college football.  As far as our defense goes, not all that concerned on what we lost…could we have been any worse.  We are returning a VERY experienced offense with the most talented QB in the conference as a Senior with 4 years starting experience.  As long as he stays healthy we should have a very exciting year.

Look who comes in at # 98.

Then, at the very bottom, look at the clue for # 97. Anyone we know?
