Kiffin is not an elite coach, but he's definitely better than many of the alternatives out there. Sometimes football teams are simply out matched. I tried to explain that we had 6 really good RB's that were going to get cycled and that is extremely difficult to overcome. It's honestly unfair to expect a win when there is a bunch of positions at UCF we are deep in and can keep a ton of fresh legs in. Your QB had several impressive plays and that's after he was running for his life the whole night. Your RB also showed flashes of greatness.
Building a program takes time, and Kiffin may or may not be the guy that does it - but based on what I saw, you guys should be fine in CUSA play. Just my two cents.

- FAU’s o line is very concerning. Letting Garin Justice go is by far Lane’s worst move as a coach here. If the play doesn’t get better it’s going to be a very long year.
- Defense didn’t play bad, just was on the field to much and was asked to do way to much.
- Chris didn’t play bad. He was plagued by dropped passes, and having no time to throw the ball
- The season is on the line next week. Lane has to get things going in the right direction. He has made a lot questionable decisions on the coaching staff, and they are t working out the past two years.
- One last note about the game experience. How was FAU so unprepared for last night? We have been bragging for weeks how close the game was to sell out. I snuck In past the long lines, and my ticket was never scanned. 30 mins to get a drink, and how does the whole stadium run outta food? Total embarrassment. Why would any fringe fan wanna comeback after an experience like that.

Grain left to Arizona himself.
Did he have a chance to come back who knows.
I have a larger post in mind about this subject, but bringing coaches and mostly players that don’t work out has been Lanes biggest issue so far.

He left on his own to begin with.
So what he comes back just to bounce to a better job the next time another comes around?
Eventually you would have won without him.
