Thanks for posting this thread. As one of the faithful I want to go, can probably afford the ticket and gas to get there, but I'll need to pack a cooler and pitch a tent. Hey, can I do that next to the RV's ?  ;D

Sounds good to me. I am checking out hotels right now. Most run about $90-100 per night. That for nicer hotels as well.

People should try to organize so that most stay at the same hotel. Any word on if there is an "official" FAU hotel for the game??

I saw on Troy's site that the Sheraton on Canal is the official Sunbelt team hotel.  I have stayed there a couple of times.  Nice hotel, directly across the street from the French Qtr.  I checked and the standard rooms are running about $99 per night.

O my god, i cant believe this is happening….

Well just booked my flights and hotel, used miles for the flight and the rooms are dirt cheap..

I have some friends that went out to N.O. for a Bachelor party a few weeks ago and did a Katrina Tour, said it was pretty cool, and i will defiantly be checking that out.

And about the tailgating thing, In N.O. you bar and restaurant hop tailgate, park 5 or 6 blocks from the stadium and start hitting all the bars and restaurants on your way in and out of the game… Amazing time.. Cant wait go Owls….
