I have placed all links that everyone has provided in the first post, where they can be easily checked without having to scroll thru the many pages that will accumulate in the next couple of weeks.

And I will continue to do so as more become available.

I think I got 1 heck of a deal. Not necessarily for students, but for alumni. I got 2 adults (kinda) 3 nights at the W Hotel in the French Quarter and 2 round trip tickets all tax included for $640.00. I was very surprised and of course jumped on it…..Yah baby…..Weez goin to New Orleansssssssssss!!!!!! GO OWLS!!!!

i cant roll with you in N.O. all we can afford was the ritz….

Go Owls…

Not a big deal, we could still hang. However, if I see anyone from my hotel, don't be mad if I act like I don't know you (lol)

The wife & I are getting there Thurs. about 4:00. Let me know where you will be prior to the game and we will meet up with you guys. As for not getting hammered around the Martini Bar….Well I can't guarantee that one. This is going to be GREAT!!!

W New Orleans $99 $99 $119 $139

What a mess. First off, I was just going over my itinerary with KC and noticed they booked me at the French Quarter COURT YARD. Which was not happening. So, I had to call up Hotel.com and tell them that they are a bunch of idiots and that I do not want the bedbug ridden continental breakfast Court Yard and that I want the W. After about 20 minutes, I finally got it changed back to the W, but of course those bastards whacked me for another $227.00 which included a $100.00 discount for the screw up. So my deal of a life time, just works out to be a ok deal. My total is now $869.25

As for the Memphis fans staying at MY hotel, not a problem. They are at the New Orleans W & I am at the French Quarter W. So it looks like I might be able to sleep with both eyes shut. As for Emril's and DOM…………..HELL YAH!!!! Sounds like a good plan to me.

And as for the Pokey….Unfortunately, I have already visited there back in 1990 Mardi Gras  :'( and I have no desire to go back. There accommodations are less then 1 star.

Staying in the team hotel is well worth it.

There is a luncheon there, impromptu and planned pep rallies, you get to see and talk to the players and coaches, and fans hang there in the bars, Starbucks, etc. for football discussions. Bowl gear is sold in the lobbies. The bands march in and out.

I would not stay in a non-official bowl hotel. Why go if you're going to miss out on much of the action?

If i was single or a student i agree 100%, but since i am going with my wife, i can do without the 20 year olds running down my hall at 7am in the moring screaming drunk and so on… i will swing by the team hotel for sure and check it out… but for the same $ a night for the W or ritz, i have to sell out on the shereton, sorry..

I AGREE 100%…Besides if there is going to be any drunken idiots running down the halls screaming and yelling at 7:00 in the morning, I only want it to be me.

It's not crazy like that. These are very, very nice hotels - especially the J.W. Marriott (next to the Sheraton) where we stayed. You had to experience it to understand, I suppose.
