There is some talent on the team, hopefullly they can adapt to the new scheme.

It'll take some time to jell. New players coming in and taking spots away from old players. Old players used to having a laissez-faire attitude and getting away with basically murder for the last several years.

That will all change and some players may not like and may leave, who knows. But once we get going and they get that first win against Wagner and then they see people are filling up the stands and they have a little momentum on their side, they can make something out of this.

I don't think anyone has posted this, but CP has mandated a curfew for all players year round. Something like 11 pm on weekdays and 1 am on the weekends. I'm a huge fan of this, because I can't tell you how many times I have seen players out late at night getting in to trouble. I have even chatted with one individual who told me he had to run across campus just to make it back in time.

I would like to see some off-season type award being handed out to members of the team. Yes, we have the leadership council, but I'm talking something more like the baseball team's Iron Owl. Something to keep both the players and fans interested in the off months.

I think that's great. How does Coach know if they're keeping to the curfew, since the players don't necessarily live together and certainly not all in the same area?

IF the O gels quickly we should do VERY well in the Belt this year. 4 of the other 8 teams are losing 3 or even all 4 starting DB's meaning inexperince in their defensive backfield vs. our O they will not have a clue about this year. So my pick is for 5 wins minimum.

I hope the fans turn out next year, we need to support this team!  I think Coach P has done an excellent job of recruiting.  I was just on the FAU Football Official Site and I do not see much information on recruiting.  I appreciate all the info I have gotten here, I'd like to see more coverage of recruiting on the main FAU website, player bios, highlights, etc.  Is there a website (other than here) that has that?  Thanks, 1st post, please be kind.  GO OWLS!

Don't quote me on this but if it's an NCAA violation for coaches to speak about recruits, it might be an NCAA violation for the official FAU website to post it up too. Other sites may have recruiting info but we've done a pretty good job culling together information from different websites and centralizing it here – a common practice among sports messsageboards – so whether it's posted on a national recruiting site or a local newspaper in Neverheardofit, Florida, we can post it here for free for everyone. Obviously we recognize it's bad form to post paid content from other sites.
