Re: Over/Under - Attendance for Troy game

I didn't hear the official number announced last night but ESPN says the official attendance was 17,191.  Definitely didn't seem that way, felt more like 12,500.  Anyway, I was way off with my estimate.

Not too happy with the team and don't expect much improvement.  I'm pulling for us to go .500 but it's going to be tough.

I expect the crowds definitely to thin out for the remainder of the season.

Re: Over/Under - Attendance for Troy game

The crowd looked to be one of the best I have seen there, except for maybe USF. It was very loud on the field and the north sidelines and west end zone were packed. I was amazed to see the students packed the sideline, then filter into the end zone and eventually pretty much pack it, too.

If the P.A. system worked worth a darn, the video screen played video, the music could be heard above the distortion, the atmosphere would have been even better.

Imagine the crowd if that game had been on campus!?

That on-campus stadium is needed so badly!

BTW, did anyone else notice the new positive attitude from the stadium workers? They were (for the first time I could remember) nice to fans and even wished us a good night on the way out! That sure beats the former "You gotta leave. We're closing up" garbage we have experienced after previous games. Did someone give the staff sensitivity or customer service training?

That's hilarious! I remember a few years ago when I caught msyelf in the Breezeway defending FAU athletics to some students who thought the stadium staff was FAU employees. They couldn't understand that the concessions are outsourced and that those stadium vendors are NOT FAU employees.

So hopefully those kinds of little things, that really make the fan experience what it should be, are positive experiences now.
