  • Options at Punt Returner FAU has many athletes with experience in this role. Taking reps today were WR's senior Deangelo Antoine, junior Willie Wright, senior Dante Cousart, and RB Chauncey Mason. Last season, the primary punt returners were Willie Wright and Dante Cousart. Boynton Beach native Chauncey Mason is a dark horse candidate having returned kicks at Arkansas State and in high school.

  • Larry McCammon III with the ones The former star running back at powerhouse Hoover High School in Alabama McCammon got some reps with the ones today. McCammon is one of three talented freshmen additions to Coach Kevin Smith`s running back room. The list includes Larry McCammon III, Kelvin Dean, and Glover Cook. “You look at these three kids` production, I can`t imagine if at this level there is a better group of three freshmen”, Kiffin said after practice. McCammon III is a part of a growing FAU to Alabama pipeline which includes S Zyon Gilbert, OL Adarius Tolliver, QB Javion Posey, and OL Marquice Richardson.

  • Lane Issues Praise After practice Lane gave praise to several of his players including former Palm Beach Lakes HS standout DB Teja Young (photo above): “He had two inceptions the first day, a third interception the second day, hes been very productive” Kiffin said about the rising defensive back. Young has been featured with the 1st team defense this camp. Dwyer Alum WR Daunte Cousart who is now fully recovered from a knee injury has had no problems getting back to speed. “Having Cousart back is really good, he`s a good player, it hurt us when he got hurt last year”, said Kiffin. Cousart is a reliable slot option for OC Charlie Weis Jr.

  • Play of The Day In 7 on 7 drills, junior QB Justin Agner hit UCF transfer WR Rahsaan Lewis on a perfect pass in the corner of the end zone. Lewis managed to one foot inbounds and retain possession as he was in heavy pursuit by S Armani-Eli Adams.
