  • OG Nick Weber earns a scholarship Shortly after practice word of redshirt sophomore RG Nick Weber (photo above) earning a scholarship began to spread through the team facility. Weber did not have any FBS scholarship offers after graduating from nearby Stoneman Douglas High School. “It`s a lot of stress relief with like money and all that, now I can just focus on football and school at all times", Weber said. The Broward County native has been starting at right guard in camp.

  • Interior Defensive Line This is a special group as it is it features four seniors. In rotation with the first team are Ray Ellis, Kevin McCrary and Noah Jefferson. Owl fans should expect to see another senior, Will Davis in the mix as well. The Owls front seven will be tested early in the going as they will be seeing two 1000+ yard rushers from last season in Ohio St. RB JK Dobbins and UCF RB Greg McCrae.

  • Under the radar Fall camp is a great opportunity for some players to stand out. Early in practice true freshmen DL Latrell Jean made a tackle in the backfield on RB Malcolm Davidson. FAU was able to hold off the likes of Louisville and Indiana for his commitment. Also, sophomore RB Daniel Leconte went nearly the length of the field on a huge run. It was a perfectly executed hole opened by true freshmen OL DeShawn Richardson and Adarius Tolliver.

  • Play of The Day In in 7 on 7 red zone drills, QB Chris Robison delivered a dart to WR Dante Cousart across the middle for a touchdown. Cousart ran a 15 yard in route and Robison managed to drive the ball in between two defenders for the score.
