Partridge's Staff

Post

Allen is the only FAU coach that had any chance with the local HS coaches. Also, Pelini was Xed out by Delray Atlantic and American Heritage. The Atlantic problem started on day one when he pulled Chad Ward's offer. Chad is currently doing very well at Bryant and he would be a solid WR for FAU. One hell of an entrance by coach toke alot.

From Twitter: Hearing that coach Charlie Partridge offered Brian Wright the offensive coordinator job. Bold move. Interesting decision for Wright.

Dont know if this is rumor or actually true; but if true, does this mean Wright turned him down or is still thinking about it?

DrOwl, I think if Charlies offers and Brian turns him down that at least clears the air and

Well the ball is in wrights court. Let's see how dedicated he truly is to FAU. Hopefully he stays! I would imagine if there are only mid major OC jobs out there for him why he wouldn't just stay here other than pride.

Will be interesting.  What looks better on the resume, to succeed at FAU as an OC or maybe go to an FCS school and be head coach?  Depending on the freedom Partridge will give him, I think there is a good chance he stays.  Since Partridge is a defensive coach, would it be safe to assume wright would be calling plays?

I don't think he has any HC offers it's probably another group of 5 program vs staying at FAU. It's personal pride decision for him which you can't blame him

The way I see it is the misfortunes of being a small budget mid major. Partridge, if he has success, will move on to bigger offers probably a few years down the road, maybe sooner. Good opportunity for Wright to learn at the FBS level and maybe the FAU HC job will be his again in the future.

Just glad the possibility of continuity is here.

Players love Wright, and with the possibility of critical staff roles needing to once again be filled after we just went through this two years ago, was concerned with "new blood" taking its toll.

Partridge is a major "welcome" in the recruiting area, and has a bonafide personality that (so far) comes second to only Schnelley himself.

Merging the two, which appears to be happening to a considerable degree, makes good sense.
