I HIGHLY doubt it will happen, but if we start the season 3-0 with wins over Texas and Michigan State on the road, we would definetly be in the top 25.  I think the likeliness (homers, please dont hop all over me) of that happening is about 5%.  Remember, it would be a feat for a team like Florida State to beat Texas and Michigan State on the road in the first 3 weeks of the season (I dont think they could).  Our closest OOC road game last year was lost by 28 points to a Kentucky team with talent equivalent to Michigan State and less than Texas.

Im all in favor of the owls going 10-2. That would be GREAT.  Thats with a liberal amount of Owl Kool Aid there as well. While we have a SHOT at this it is still going to be incredibly difficult to pull off.

Let us not forget our wins at NT and ULL last year. Both of those were NAIL biters. Are we a more expereinced and confident team since then? Yes. But now overconfidence is the enemy. Take nothing for granted at this time. We are in for DOGFIGHTS on almost every game IMHO except for a few. (FIU, UAB,)

I really hope this doesn't start getting out of hand.  I think we have by far the best team FAU has ever fielded and I also believe that we have a chance at any game we will play this year including Texas.  The reality portion of my brain then kicks in and reminds me of the wins last year, how close many of them were and the losses.  Winning 2 of 4 OOC games and going undefeated in the Belt would be an absolutely incredible year and 9 and 3 and conference champs two years in a row would still be an incredible year.

10-2 or 9-3 soiunds great to me as long as we get to go bowling in Decembe. But I too realize that we are getting way out there  with our predictions as it is true, we escaped in a few games last year and along with the bullseye that comes with being conference champs, comes our inability to sneak up on anyone this year. We were picked to finished 5th last year in the conference. So everyone one, especially MINN, will be awaiting the arrival of the Owls. So we better be focused and loaded for bear as we will be in dog fights every week.
