Good for him! Have we had any players in the CFL before? It's happened in the past where players do well in the CFL and end up signing with an NFL team, so all hopes not lost for him. Just do well and do the best you can. Vancouver is an amazing city with Seattle not to far away

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Ghost is the expert on who is where, etc for every sport:

Lawrence Gordon played in the CFL…can't remember who else though?? Ghost??

On a side note:

The weather doesn't look to be all that bad actually…44-32 in the coldest months (December and January)…and 71-55 in the warmest (July and August)

The winter Olympics in 2010 will be held in Vancouver at Whistler Mountain. Ever heard of Lions Gate films? It got its name from a bridge that is in Vancouver. It's really a nice city and they don't speak funny over there either. It's been a few years but I don't think they say eh` or aboot lol

I use to live in Southern Ontario myself and Canada as a permanent Ice land is a myth.  90% of Canada's population lives within 100 miles of the Canadian-United States boarder.  So the climate in Canada is pretty much the same as the Northern half of the United States (in the most populated parts anyway).  Never been to Vancouver i hear it's nice (the city survives on it's primary export….Pot!!!) I actually saw the BC Lions play the Toronto Argonauts while i lived there.

Vancouver is a beautiful, cosmopolitan city with stunning mountain and water views. The water helps moderate the climate. Seattle is accessible via a sophisticated car ferry system as are Vancouver Island and other points, including the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound. Seafood, particularly salmon, is wonderful.

Another Owl who played in the CFL: Kicker Mark Meyers.

Canadians hate when we say this about them and call us "dumb yanks" as a result.

Canadians don't really say "eh" or "aboot" but they do change some u's to a's so "house" becomes "hoase"

They also use "right" as an adjective from time to time: "It's right cold today."

the aboot is more of a wisconsin thing i thought?  bunch of family says it.  some of their slang though is weird.

i just wish they showed move of the CFL like they used to.
