@Owlsdad, will you have transportation. Do you want to stay walking distance to beach , food, night spots, etc. I'm not sure about other out of towners, but I am a huge fan of Delray's Atlantic Avenue area. Marriot Residence Inn two blocks from ocean.Marriot Oceanside,on water. Hyatt place , pineapple grove area. Short 15 minute to stadium. But IMHO, a nicer place for out of towners to spend a weekend. Google Delray Beach/Atlantic Avenue. It's a rainy Tuesday night and my wife and daughter are eating and shopping there way down the ave right now.Posted On: Jun 6th 2017, 8:24 PM #369097
I agree Atlantic Ave is a great option but if you don't want to drive that far they just opened a new Hyatt Place in downtown Boca on Federal Hwy. You can walk to Mizner Park or Royal Palm Plaza and it's 5 minutes to the campus.

I would recommend any place in Boca Raton close to campus. We all complain about the lack of support the general local community gives the program. If they see a significant increase of business on game weekends I think they will be more inclined to throw some dollars our way. Plenty of options to do in Boca including the beach. Support our home city.Posted On: Jun 7th 2017, 10:38 AM #369102

That's how 20th Street will develop. Not by waving a magic wand, but by potential business owners seeing money come into the area because of FAU activity and then them wanting to capitalize upon that.

Agreed. I am just waiting to hear not only from the city and the university jointly what they really want. We have heard what they would like to happen, but we haven't heard from them how this will happen, as well as how to go about it.
