POLL: Leavitt for FAU Head Coach #2

If he's available, should FAU hire Jim Leavitt to replace Schnellenberger?

Yes, we should hire Leavitt after Schnellenberger.
No, Leavitt would be more trouble than it's worth.
I would prefer another coach altogether.

You must select between 1 and 50 options

Anyone think Cris Carter would have any type of interest in becoming part of the FAU coaching staff sometime down the road?  He's currently a resident of Boca Raton, has a training facility here, and is an assistant coach at St. Thomas Aqunias.

Probably not. He's only an assistant coach becuase his son is/was on the team. He does a lot of TV and promo work, so he woudnt have the time to make it a full time job.

And he owns a company called Chris Carter's FAST program for Speed and Agility…but I'm sure he doesn't take any kids from St. Thomas' team for the extra coaching and training that's probably in the $100+ per hour range.  ;)

Re: POLL: Leavitt for FAU Head Coach #2

We need a defensive minded coach with ties in FL.

I would try luring away UM's Defensive Coordinator John Lovett:

LOVETT's Coaching Career
2009 - Present Miami (defensive coordinator)
2007-2008 - North Carolina(assistant coach/special teams coordinator/defensive assistant)
2005-06 - Bowling Green(assistant coach/defensive coordinator/linebackers/ defensive backs)
2002-04 - Clemson (assistant coach/defensive coordinator)
1999-2001 - Auburn (assistant coach/defensive coordinator)
1995-98 - Mississippi (assistant coach/secondary)
1994 - Maine (assistant coach/defensive coordinator)
1993 - UNLV (assistant coach/secondary)
1989-92 - Cincinnati (assistant coach/defensive coordinator)
1985-88 - Maine (assistant coach/defensive coordinator)
1984 - New York Jets (defensive quality control coach)
1983 - Brown (assistant coach)
1978-82 - Union College, N.Y. (assistant coach)
1976-77 - St. Joseph's Regional High School, N.J.

That is pretty much right on what I am thinking.
