I attended the game in Houston. It was very difficult to watch the ending. While I appreciate the coach saying he took responsibility, I think it is time for him and his staff to BE responsible DURING the game(s). It is hard for me to believe that players who surely dealt with more complex playbooks in some rather sophisticated high school programs suddenly lost the ability to deal with such in college. Rather than continually saying, in effect, that they are too stupid to deal with more complex plays, why not challenge them to do it? I am confident that these guys have plenty of smarts to handle more variety. Do our coaches? But we at least have gotten beyond that maddening in-game quarterback rotation....

I agree with ya grayowl, challenge these young players to be qualiry FBS players, stop the babying and let em (and excpect them to) play.
