Practice Report 3/31 on 2 New Faces

A note on Cranor. He is listed at 6-2, but everyone keeps talking about his height as an issue. 6-2 should be sufficient. Is he really that much shorter than 6-2 or does he just look short because so many of the other QBs are a solid 6-5?? If he isn't 6-2, what is an accurate estimate of his height??

Florida_Owl I don't agree at all with your comment on the Paris kid. The comment "i alos wonder how long it will be until he is injured AGAIN… ::)" I think it was a pretty shitty thing to say about one of our players. We have had other players injured Rose, Duffy, Sanchez etc. that were starters and it is amazing how they seem to fight back and to regain there positions. I have never read or heard anybody on this board ever single out a player especially a starter with such a negative comment.

I really don't think the injuries are a planned thing, they can happen to anybody. When our guys get hurt we usually encourage positive and supportive comments. These guys have put there bodies on the line for this program and your last sentence especially the AGAIN in caps was in very poor taste. I think the whole comment was in pretty poor taste.

Injuries do happen and the lost of Paris created a big drop-off last year at the position and showed at the end of the season just how much we missed him from the line-up. We need Paris under center, period, he is that valuable at the position, Matlock did a decent job, but I do think that others are getting time under center for a reason. I just don't see Matlock replacing a healthy Paris.

The Clemson transfer, Muse did work-out with the rest of the linemen on Sat., I would love to see what he could do as a TE ::) seems like he is being cast into the wrong position, IMO, he did transfer to play as a TE. Then again the coaches must see something I do not and/or the gluttoty of players fighting for a TE position must have brought about the need for his services elsewhere. Intersting either way.

from what ive heard is that matlock is the center for now until nick is better which should be sometime this coming week. then i believe he will b emoved to left guard a brandon jackson might be moved to second string. as for Muse, he is now an offensive tackle. coach says there are too many tightends so they will move him to OL and for now he has some injury according to the trainers but should be practicing soon.

Where is Muse size-wise?? Has he put on the weight to play tackle??

The prospectus says 250 but the weights of many of the returning players are less than whats on the roster so maybe he's bigger than that.

i wasnt putting him down…thats the great thing about text - cant ever tell tone, etc…it was actually a sigh….notice the icon at the end…

all i meant was that he seems to possibly be injury prone…thats all i meant…i was disapointed he was injured all three times it has happened before…

and i never implied it was intentional…

BTW, the explicatives really arent a desire of my eyes…thanks
