Remember this game was very close going into the 4th quarter, with TxSt up 14-13 last year, and I see a close game again this year.

The two games we have lost we had too many turnovers, with fumbles being returned for TDs, that turned out to be the difference in the game.

I do not believe you are better than Baylor, as you barely beat UNT and Baylor blew them out. I believe we are due for a good relatively error free game, so I will go with a 7 point Bobcat victory.

It was a tight game for awhile.
We are a lot more mature now as seniors. I'm sure that you guys have more maturity also.

Common opponents: IMO, It is so hard to compare two different games/opponents. It's all about match-ups.
Baylor also lost big to UAB, who squeaked by Cincy,who lost to East Carolina ,who got stomped by Wake Forest, who….

I'm sure you guys want revenge from last year too. Should be a good game anyway.

Yes, using common opponents as a factor can be misleading, but interestng to evaluate. I do believe the Bobcats will have a bad taste in their mouth from both the loss at ASU and last year's game that got away from them.

We have the toughest schedule in I-AA and that is not even counting FAU, who would be in the top 5, if still ranked in I-AA.

We need to win our home games as we have been very inconsistent on the road. I believe it will be a good battle to the end of the game.

As stated earlier, last year's game was 14-13 going into the 4th. FAU wore down the Bobcat defense by running sweeps left & right and the linebackers & secondary running 30 yds each play to stop the run. I was @ the game and suspect FAU had the ball at least 11 minutes in the 4th qtr.

Texas State is a much better conditioned team this year. It easily could be 4-0…or…1-3 instead of 2-2. It's two losses by 7 pts. each, Balyor & Appalachian St. had 9 and 89 yd defensive TD's when Texas State option pitch outs were returned for TD's. The same play caused overtime game that otherwise would have been won by the Bobcats iin regulation.

FAU can chunk the ball as well as anyone. The 'Cats are balanced with over 200 yds last week both in the air and on the ground.

Suspect the win will go to the team that has the least turnovers or special team breakdowns. I'm not going to predict a score, but would not be surprised to see an overtime game or the winner determined in the last 2 minutes of regualtion.

Nice analogy swt73. These games can be very unpredictable. Turnovers may indeed play a part. We lost 2 fumbles last year and you guys lost 1.
