being in new york i read the sunsentinel, palm post and miami online like people drink their coffee, i don't plan on hitting the post anymore.

Wow, i got a speedy and pretty saucy reply from my email to this guy.

This was in response to my line that with the proper support from the community (that he is attempting to curb with articles like this) FAU Football could be like UT. This guy isn't very nice. No more Post for me!!!

So they call this reporting :o This guy has a major beef with FAU that exceeds football, his comments concerning the Univerasity Commons says a lot about his grief or partial anyway - he has a hidden agenda here and with the recent article he couldn't control himself at taking a cheap shot at FAU - just the way it was writen was a very weak atemtp at journalism. It came across like a disgruntle City of Boca Residence, from which he happen to reside in :o, so in reality he actually abused him privilege as a writer (editor) for personnel reasons and satisfactions. This type of joutnalism if really sad - it would be to hard to actually give a complete outlook of the situation instead of a slice of his own take of bits and pieces of information.

I understand that this only an opinion, but coming from a professional writer (editor) you would think that he could do a better job at correlatiing the information instead of throwing parts of information only to favor his agenda, yet he doesn't have the balls to reveil them or even to discuss them because he knows that he has nothing to stand on. I hope letting some of that hot air made him feel better.

Overall have been very supportive of FAU, especially in calling for more money and tuition flexibility. We noted last year that as FAU was trying to build football, the very successful baseball team was in need of money. Division I football is a big reach, and we think it is a reach too far for FAU.

His reply is just as much jeberish as his article - he wants to show that he actually cares about the future of FAU, right.

I guess he calls this being supportive ???

I was right about the school thing (Tenn) he is P%$@d about the traffic and lord knows what else. But to call himself a reporter is a joke. Bytor is right that this guy using a platform that is to be unbias is unethical. The Post should be copied on these responses and this guy should be FIRED. He is supporting his own agenda and the Post should call him on the carpet. The Miami Herald, during all the bad years never blasted them like this guy did to the Owls. In essence he has attacked the whole school not just football. Can you say hit the road Randy find an new place to live. I have told a few people about what happened and they are really PO'd. So far 100 % support of the Owls and will cancel there subscriptions with the Post.

I am really serious about this boycott.. Palm Beach Post is trying so hard to advertise and compete with Sun Sentinel that I think they probably would let him go or tame him if we made3 an outcry.

I;m gonna write a letter to the editor just as he suggested I do and I encourage the rest of you to do the same… just a couple of lines on how he is alienating this community.. >:(

In Randy's response, exactly what is this ("Division I football is a big reach, and we think it is a reach too far for FAU") supposed to mean. Also who is the WE Ole Randy keeps refering to.

I still say this guy is upset over the traffic on Glades and his perfect little world is not the same.

My "Jimmy Olson" explanation from an earlier post for those of you which may be a little younger, than some of us on this board. I'm talking George Reeves(60's) not Christopher Reeves. ;)


In the SuperMan series, Jimmy was a bumbling reporter who always tried to get the inside story and almost always got it wrong. He ignored the "proceed with caution", advice of partner Lois lane in order to please his editor, Perry White.
Well, Clark Kent/Superman had to come to his rescue more than a few times. Jimmy always seem to understand the moral of the story by the end of the show. But then he'd do it again the following week!

It was just his nature to print what he felt. No matter how Wrong it was!
