It's to announce that our new football stadium will be called "Satan's Unholy Cauldron." The Church of Satan has agreed to sponsor our stadium in an attempt to get some good press.

I can do without the owl trying to karate kick me. It's not bad but unless we are the FAU Kung Fu Owls they need to do a better job.

Is everyone on this board a graphic designer or something?  From a laymans point of view I think it looks pretty good.

I seems like this board is just starting to bash everything FAU does. Don't get me wrong, I have been critical of many things also but it seems like it's getting a little carried away.

not a designer, but in the business 4 years…

this would never have passed my desk…and it will not make print - guaranteed.

I'm not bashing it, I just think they could have done a better job. We hired a marketing firm and we haven't seen any real improvements instead we get a kung fu owl. "Everybody was kung fu fighting those owls were as fast as lightning hoo hah"  ;D  :

I'm pretty sure this was done internally. They have some graphic designers on-campus that I think usually design this stuff. You may remember a couple of years ago when we have an owl grabbing a football… but it was CGI… and I think there was lightning in the background or something?

yeah I think you're combining 2 shirts. In '01 I think we had a flying owl with a football in its claws and i think in 2000 or '99 we had a robotic looking owl hand or something grabbing a basketball and that had lightning in the back ground
