Recruiting Prospect for 2007

Don't forget how young this team is, the talent level of the past two recruiting class if a cut above any other class we had. What doesn't help and hurts depth are losing players for academic or other personnel reasons which creates holes that need to be filled later.

We really only had one true recruiting class that was 1-A talent and that was last year - most of those players you have not seen, however Holley & Floyd are two of those players now playing. Plus, look at the stars next to the prospects, you rarely saw any stars with previous recruits class members and now they are there. As we continue to grow each recruiting class will be better and when the dome gets build it will increase in level again. Coach S and crew are very good recruiters and now how to get players here - look at the talent on the very first recruiting class - Allen just to name one, was our biggest coup.

Recruiting Prospect for 2007

I would like to see the team get a big running back to add more of a power run attack. I like three of the running backs from the list. Marquis Branton 6-0 215, Tyshawn Anderson 5-10 225, and Ricky Anderson 6-0 195. Based simply on numbers, Anderson looks to be the best of the three. He has a big frame and could easily add 15-20lbs and he has good speed at 4.5. I love what Charles Pierre has done the last few weeks. However, I think FAU has always suffered in the run game due to backs that are a little on the small side. I would like to see FAU have at least one big back in the rotation. GO OWLS!!!
