Wow, he can tear through 'em. He's faster than Willie Rose. He's definitely going to give us a good running game if he signs with us.

Yeah I thought he looked really good, like a true Halfback he,s got like 10 highlights he was a back for 3 years at St.Thomas Aquinas.I think the coaching staff will be able to bring in higher end recruits after the bowl victory anyone know who else they are going after? This kid broke Tyrone moss,s all Time Broward rushing record I think thats big that FAU is getting a kid like that.

Re: recruiting

He looks like a Howard guy-weird straight up running style. He almost looks robotic. I like the way he looks up field to set up his blocks. He seems to wait to see where the hole is going to open up 2, 5, 10 yards past the line of scrimmage.

Beware the talons of the Mighty Owls!

Re: recruiting

I like the way he moves forward and puts his head down and pushes for more yards continues churning his legs after he gets hit.

Hopefully he stays committed to us!

Here's the Sun-Sentinel quote on it:

"University School running back Michael Barasch, who rushed for 2,031 yards during the regular season, orally committed to Florida Atlantic University on Monday"

The Kid was at ST.Thomas and was unhappy playing the role of fullback.University school AD and head FB coach(a former ST.Thomas RB) somehow convinced him to leave STA and attend 2a University school  ::) ::)It ended up working for the kid  but was a risky move that cost him a ring.I heard he turned down Syracuse and Uconn. He needs some coaching up as far as form he seemed to exhibit better form at STA.I saw him on Css tv when he was a soph. and he looked like a beast knocking people into the air I think it was STA vs McCarther.I think if the coaches over at FAU get on him hard he,ll develop into a potential 1,000 yard rusher and force at RB.He needs to get rite in and start learning the college game.I think he,ll be a good fit for the prostyle offense ;D

Here's an excellent article on senior running back, Michael Barasch:
Topic Galleries - Sun Sentinel

Highlights:

"With the help of Barasch's powerful running, the Suns qualified for the school's first playoff berth.

Barasch finished the season with 2,071 yards and 24 touchdowns, earning him respect from coaches across Broward County who voted him the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Class 3A-2A-2B-1A-1B Player of the Year.

Earlier this month, Barasch orally committed to FAU.

He sees joining that program as an opportunity to continue what he started at University School. Both, he believes, are programs on the rise.

"You can see where they're going," said Barasch, who also received interest from Syracuse, Youngstown State, Florida and Oregon. "It's the same kind of situation I had at University."
