Not sure what he is referring to, but considering the guy we played the entire game overthrew receivers to the point where the announcers commented on it at least four times, and practically did nothing to protect the ball when he got hit and ended up losing it twice within our own 10 yard line. Aren't those key "fundamentals" for a QB?

Driskell sure thinks so:

“The first pick was a bad read, the second pick was a bad ball. The first fumble was third grade stuff, the ball comes out of your hand when no one is even around you, and then the second fumble is lack of ball security. These are the things that we work on every single day, I have been doing them my whole life. It is inexcusable and it was horrible to watch I am sure. It felt horrible to do out there, it felt terrible.”

I am glad Jeff is taking responsibility for his errors, mental and physical, shows maturity and leadership. Not real sure about our HC though! When a team sucks ya need to say so and demand fixes, mental and physical if ya wanna keep playing (or Coaching, even at ONLY a half a MIL a year!).

Jeff plays for Cincinnati Bengals I believe.  And if you can't figure out why they are throwing 4 yard passes and not attacking the defense down the field it's because they can't protect Jason.

Sorry about the name being wrong, sorry Jason! Then you run plays to offset the pass rush: draws, screens. And if our O line is so beat up we can't protect the qb than put the 5 best run blockers out there.

THIS has to stop though, excuses for bad performances all the time. PLAY BALL COACHES AND PLAYERS.

The game starts up front. We haven't been this week up  front in a awhile. I anticipate us being week up front again on Saturday. Sorry for the bleak outlook but it is what it is. The good news is some young guys are getting game time  that they normally would not be getting. The bad news is they are getting game time they normally would not be getting. We are not deep enough to take this kind of hit on the O line. I will be there Saturday and I am having a difficult time finding anyone to go with me. Absolutely no interest from friends or son. FAU football is at a stand still. I don't have any answers.

Same here. We went from 38 to 15 from one home game to the next.

It's tough to draw with the quality of our team play right now if that is all you're going to sell.

Let's look at it this way, how would you sell tickets to get people to go see a movie that has recieved bad reviews?  Not an easy proposition.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

I'll probably be there but I can't blame others for sitting it out. We're a broken team that's playing bad football right now and hopefully we right this ship to 2-2.

Otherwise we might want to change our mantras from #findaway and #nohuddlenomercy to #hopetheotherteamisworse.

Admittedly, probably not as catchy.

I do not know the solution to the problem, or even exactly why there is a problem. What is frustrating though is what many have already expressed. Teams that are on par with FAU are showing up and competing with BIG 5 teams each and every week.

Southern Miss beat Kentucky
UTSA almost beat Arizona State
Western Michigan beat Northwestern and Illinois
Georgia State hung tough against Wisconsin

All of this points the fact that FAU should be way ahead of where it is currently in program development. Again, I have no fix, but I struggle to understand how this program is not improving from year to year.

GO OWLS!!!
