As for the weekends we generally would head up to Clematis or down to Liquordale.

RUMOR HAS IT....
I lived on campus in the 90s and it was definitely not a wild party but back then the Rat was the place to be on Thursday nights. They used to get college bands on most Thursdays and there was an outdoor amphitheater behind the Rat where they got some great headliner acts. Is that still the case? Is the Rat still in business? It was in the same building as the bookstore and the orchestral theater.

Wow, I haven't heard anyone mention the rat in a long time. Lol. My first semester was sping of '99, when I got there, there was a rat except it wasn't a place to hang out at night. They made it into a game room and you were able to play pool and watch tv there but it closed at like 5. The rat is no longer. The whole old UC as you remember it, is no longer. The whole campus has totally changed. No more pits, no more trailer selling overpriced laundry detergent behind the pits. That's all gone and the campus has TOTALLY changed

If you haven't been on campus in a few years, swing by for a pleasant shock :o. It changed sooo much in the few years I was there, and just being a year and a half removed from campus, there are even more changes.
Our little school is growing up. :'( ;) ;D
