When I first met Rusty I was impressed by his demeanor as he had clearly been moulded by his family and his faith to be respectful to others. As I have watched him continue to grow into the exceptional man that he is I have been even more impressed. He has had a most impressive career as the FAU Quarterback and has set many records along the way but that pales in comparison to the Person. He is an example to all who come in contact with him and I wish him the very best wherever his path leads him. I will forever take delight in saying "I knew him when……………" All the Best for the Future, may your Life continue to be Blessed.

Great job Rusty. You have changed the opinions of many. I recall when you were getting your first starts and many people on this board had little faith in the lanky redhead from Jacksonville. Jump ahead a few short years and you are one of the brightest spots in FAU's short history. Despite earlier criticism and the ups and downs of playing for a young program on the rise, you have always held your head high and presented yourself in a respectable manner. Here is to the end of one GREAT CAREER and to the beginning of another.

Wishing just to best of luck for your Future.  I know you will always be a class act in and out of the Football Field.  Everytime I got to meet you, you were always respectfull and a true team player.  You did so much for our program and won't be forgotten.  Thanks for all the you and your teamates did for our alma matter. A few years ago, I remember turning to my brother and saying, "Forget this Rusty guy and put Sean (Clayton) back in the game. Look at how this guy throws the ball?! He's horrible." Well, let be the first to say that my words with a bit of salt didn't taste too bad. I even remember thinking I want to get a look at McKinson Souverain.

You were a great QB, and a great Owl. We'll all be seeing you on Sundays with the Silver and Black, and again when your invited back for the All-time FAU team halftime recognition

I don't know if you will get to read this, but I just wanna thank you for all the good memories. You are great human being off the field and a class act on it. Your family should be proud of you and I am glad you made part of the FAU family. I hope to see you back at the new stadium, you gotta be there.
I wish you good luck with your shoulder and I hope you can make it into the NFL. Stay humble and work hard and remember that once an OWL; always an OWL.

You made me believe in FAU football. You led us to dream seasons and kept yourself humble the entire way.

You've definitely made an impact and set the bar high for years to come. Every quarterback that comes here for the next couple of decades will be compared to you and asked to fill your big shoes.

So for that, thank you for coming here. Thank you for being an Owl. I know your family grew up as Gator fans but I hope that FAU will always be first in your heart.
