No…not THAT Gary D Wright….he wouldn't know who Rusty was if he fell over him! ;D

Hey, don't be dissing our announcer Gary D Wright!!  He is awesome compared to the announcer at FIU.  I was at the game last week and THAT guy is annoying.

IIIIIIIIt's Showtime!!!!!!!

Oh that guy is sooooo annoying. Someone needs to hit puberty!

I'm loyal to this program and i would like to see Rusty do well in the NFL but he's never done anything vs. NFL caliber players (BCS Schools)

When two teams who let up 50+ points a game when they play BCS schools, its not that impressive for Rusty to put up huge numbers vs. FIU.

If he and the team had the year Lefevour and CMU had it would be a different story but it was an awful year, he was hurt and he played one half of descent football vs. South Carolina. This is NFL, the best of the best, I don't see how anyone with a straight face can he's one of the top 3 qb's in the NFL.

And if you look there's about 32 teams in the NFL, with the average qb playing about 5 years as a starter he would have to be in the top 6 qb's just to make team. Now with the following names would put Rusty in front of the following:
Bradford
Claussen
McCoy
Tebow
Pike
Lefevour
Robinson, Zak
Max Hall
Levi Brown?

I just personally think all of these guys have proven themselves vs.  the competition where as Rusty never has. I think most rankings have Rusty around 20.

It's hilarious that there are people on this board who think Rusty will be an NFL QB…..I have nothing against Rusty (met him several times & like him) but it's a pipedream. He's not that good.

Hilarious or not!  I do believe he has a chance.  He has the skills needed to be successful–with some work he can compete in the NFL.  Good Luck Rusty and prove the Naysayers wrong!

GO OWLS!

I agree, go Rusty! When Sam Bradford, coming off an injured shoulder as well, is now touted as possibly being the overall No. 1 pick and probably the no. 1 qb pick, I think that says something about the rest of the qb field.

Rusty should get drafted in the 6th-7th round (REPEAT SHOULD), but sadly will not. I do believe he will at least get signed; I predicting the following team to sign/draft him:

Patriots - Similiar size to Brady. Bilicheck is frugal when it comes to drafting QB's (preferably in late rounds, Brady 6th RD. 199 overall). Maybe he will see some potential in Rusty as he did in Brady.

Panthers - Resigning Delhomme was a huge mistake. The guys running on fuses and probably will never have a full healthy season, so the teams gonna be in desperate need to find a good backup.

Redskins, 49ers and Raiders - Future overrated QB's ended up being busts, so they will desperate as well to fill the void.

Rams - Bulgers doesnt look like he's got much left in the tank either and will probably be replaced next season or even possibly this season. The Rams Bulger was also a late round sleepers (6th rounder), which means they like the sleepers as well giving light to possibly see Rusty on the squad.

Browns - Even though Quinn he isnt completly finished (at least not yet) the Browns might possibly search for another QB for the future. Anderson is another 6th round sleeper. Well at least he had 1 good year right…

Seahawks - Similiar situation to the Panthers & Rams. FYI Hasselbeck was another 6th rounder LOL. There are a lot of em huh!

Chiefs - No QB since Trent Green 2005. Need I say more.

Peace. GO Owls!

I really believe Willie Rose will be the first Owl drafted…probably 6-7th round…decent size, decent hands….he's a dark horse, but I think it will happen….

Ya know I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I 've also been wondering about Spitale. I didn't see the Nebraska game, but word was that he held his own against Suh.

Beware the talons of the Mighty Owls!

Suh wasn't even part of the conversation that game though i think he blocked a kick at one point. No sacks, and I don't keep stats on "hurries" so maybe he had a few, but there weren't many times where we thought he was the dominant force that he is.

Don't think this one was posted…if it was apologies…

PFA is their call…

But no mention of pro-day…and with the talk of the motion, not surprising…it's not the same.
