On offense, everything starts with the O-line. The team is averaging less than 2.0 yards per carry and has scored only one touchdown in 3 games. That generally speaks to the play of the O-line, especially the lack of a run game. I have heard for the past couple of years that the O-line is young and needs to gel and mature. Something needs to give. Do I have a solution? No, unfortunately I don't. I hope that they turn the corner by the time the conference games get underway. GO OWLS!!!

My question is running backs. Do you think we need to get a big jc running back in here in addition to some freshman recruits?

Howard has admitted we don't have a big back and wishes he had one. Academics has been the demise of two RB recruits in two years. All the RBs we have now are admittedly undersized.

Would Howard go for the JC running back? I expect there are a few good ones coming out of JC, especially out west.

What happened to Roderick Ferguson? Wasn't he a relative of Doug Parker and supposedly one of the best backs in the county last year?

Hey billee, you point out that you seem to think the O-Line is the issue but when asked for a reason or example you don't seem to have any.

It's real easy to jump on here and point out a negative, whether there is any truth to it or not, the hard part is backing it up with the facts or figures which apparently you don't have.

Just to point out....the next 2 seasons after this post our OLine played very well and we won 2 bowl games.
