How do they handle handicapped access there now? Should be available for those needing it for medical reasons as well.
Yes if you are in a wheelchair they will let you use the elevator. My father in law is not handicapped or disabled in any way. He's just a lil older and its not as easy to walk up all those steps as it used to be. For the price we pay for the HDeck, I would like to have elevator access.

Am I reading this right??
You can't use the elevator unless you are deemed "handicapped"; and, as a result, have to walk up the stairs??

I was reading an article about the Dolphins today and it mentioned a call they just had that was only for season ticket holders to discuss the upcoming season with some of the coaches and administration. I believe this would be a good idea for FAU to do this as well. Being a season ticket holder needs to come with some additional perks so it adds value and hopefully it eventually creates more demand.
The call is one idea, the other was how about merchandise available for purchase only offered to season tickets holders?
Any additional ideas or feedback would be great.
How about an annual pre-season dinner at the stadium for season ticket holders only to meet the team and coaches! Till value is shown on the field, they do need to increase the value of just being a season ticket holder of any level. Dinner with a cash bar to help offset the dinner expenses would be cool with me and I think anyone else. Once the team is established as a popular winning team, keep the annual dinner program to help justify increased season ticket costs that will come with increased demand!
This is a good idea. I always thought they should send Season Ticket ID cards with your tickets so these kind of events can happen. For example, if they make a preseason practice open only to season ticket holders, you'll get in with the card.

Before they create perks for season ticketholders…they need to address maintaining the value of what they are selling. My tickets are in the Hyundai Deck…last year as the season fell apart, they started to sell some single games cheaper than my donation and ticket. Additionally, they need to figure out how to make the "HD" exclusive. Way too easy to get in that section with a "cheap" ticket. They are asking us to make a pretty considerable financial investment and when you have half the student section or people from general seating so easily sneaking in…it makes us who pay feel like chumps.
I am also in the priority section but to be honest I was just happy to see people enjoying themselves at the games and figured the squatter issue would get resolved one it really became necessary. They were at the bar not in my seats, but I do agree at some point it does need to be addressed.
I understand what you are saying…but you are in the minority on your opinion. Whether the squatters sat in your seats or not (they would sit in mine) is not the issue. The issue is FAU is asking me and you and everyone else who committed to mutli-years are paying a lot of money for those seats. You can't devalue those seats and let squatters in. You have to make it some place wants to pay to be in. If you can buy a $30 dollar ticket and sneak in or pay $90 for a single game ticket what are you going to do? It's the same scenario of alumni using their old student ID's to get into basketball for free. Why would you pay if you don't have to?
The stadium needs to be paid for and if you haven't noticed the athletic department does not have a lot of money! You can't afford to let people sneak in.
I'm with you on this. If you're going to let anyone into that section and allow them to have the same perks, do away with the mandatory donations or come up with a simple way to identify who is who. I was told the wrist band story as well.
What will happen is a group of squatters will get a bit too drunk and abuse it and poof, there goes the privilege of being able to drink a few beers at the game.
Life is not fair. Those that want those perks need to ante up and pay for them.

Correct,
The first game last year they did let you use the elevator, howerver when I went to use it for the second game they looked at my ticket and said that the elevators were only for Premier/Adeck. I was lil pissed to be honest.
There are 4 elevators in the tower, it REALLY wouldnt take much to designate one of them as the HDeck elevator and only allow it to go up to the Hdeck. They all have attendants from what I call.

Re: Season Ticket Perks
There is obviously code in place that requires elevator access be in place for public use, and am pretty sure the law doesn't specify levels of "conditions" as terms of access.

I hope our new AD ups the budget on staff for one thing and that they also up the ante on common sense too. WE NEED REPEAT customers for this baby to work, especially when the stadium was the ONLY reason to come last year. We could see MUCH BETTER HS football most anywhere for a lot less cash than what we were given last year! HARSH AND SAD BUT TRUE.
That said, looking real forward to this season, come Monday we will all know much better whgat oiur chances of a decent season will be with the reporting deadline for the players. GO OWLS!

Spoke with a member of the staff, and they are going to look into this.

You da man!
To be honest I didnt "Push" the issue but was going to try and use them again this year. If I got denied again I was going to make a few calls. I dont mind the elevators being "reserved" for the different levels. I just think both levels of "donor" seating should be accomodated.
I do know that elevators themselves get held up for coachs to travel down form the tower before half time.

Good, I thought I may of imagined I heard that. LOL Seems like such an easy solution, No band, No entry.
