Re: Second-best player in Owls history
I think what this guy has done in 3 years is remarkable. Remember how bad the line was last year, this year it was improved but not by much. The guy carried 3 people on his back on his way to the end zone.
It's the Wally Pip situation all over again. Wally Pip was the first baseman for the Yankees, he got hurt and then Lou Gehrig took his spot and never relinquished it. If Blanchard doesn't get hurt, then arguably the greatest player in the schools history never gets a chance to show what he can do. He broke the rushing record set by Charles Pierre, C.P. was also in 2 bowl games and had an extra game to improve his stats. Morris never had that opportunity
I know the argument can be made for Rusty, or Laz or any of those guys on the list. I just think Morris deserves some consideration for the # 1 spot
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!
