second ESPN prediction that has us losing

Pat Forde: Dashing through the bowls - ESPN

MOTOR CITY BOWL (13)
Florida Atlantic vs. Central Michigan
Dec. 26, 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Detroit

Why watch: To count empty Ford Field seats – the over/under on FAU fans who left South Florida to spend Christmas in balmy Detroit has been set at eight. Or to see whether Owls coach Howard Schnellenberger can extend his lifetime perfect bowl record as a head coach – he's currently 5-0 at three different schools, including last year's New Orleans Bowl triumph.

40-second analysis: These two heavy favorites to win their respective conferences instead fell short and wound up here. This has to be the first bowl game ever to match two teams that were involved in 100-plus-point games to close the regular season – Central Michigan was shocked 56-52 by Eastern Michigan, and FAU beat rival Florida International 57-50. If that's any indication, expect a whole lot of touchdowns in this game.

Dash pick: Central Michigan 43, Florida Atlantic 37.

hahahahahah… eight seats… that is funny, sad, but funny

I've stopped reading these MCB predictions because they're all the same and all slamming us. As Ted said, we'll need thick skin from now until the game.

yes, we DO need thick skin… but until we shock the world again, we need to also have a sense of humor

and that IS funny, because it's prolly not too far from the truth…

cmon, it IS legitimately funny

Re: second ESPN prediction that has us losing

Thick skin is a good thing.  C'mon guys Owl09 is right, it is funny just to read it.  Besides, I still think we deserve all the criticism we get this year.  These predictions are made by the same guys who said Brett Farve was gonna play for Tampa Bay, and then Miami, and then……… ;D.  Let our players decide who wins on Friday the 26th at 8pm.  After we beat the chippewas we'll see who comes out and says "I knew the owls would do it" from any of those sites.

FAU - We got Bowls!
