I just hope that with how that game went for Jax, that the D Coord and LB Coaches were proud of at least one hit by that D that night. They SUCK! They got embarassed and somebody better step up with some BIG hits and plays. Wish he had kept his head up but it is all split second reaction in the NFL! And I still understand the call on the field was for hitting a "defenseless" player nor even so much for the head to head. Helmet to helmet came up more as a result of replays.
Wuss rules, as I said, all players ESPECIALLY receivers when they go across the middle or up for a ball are basically BY DEFINITION "defenseless". Pretty soon you will HAVE TO let them catch the ball and come back down or turn around before you can "challange them". By the way better stick to flag football, two hand touch may be unneccessary roughness!

Lockley is just a guy trying to make the team; it's a shame that the rule exists in a league that pays you millions of dollars to take the risk of being out there!

Lockley was a guided missile on that play and once you commit/lean into the play–it's a done deal.  I say they should fine the WR $20,000 for not using his "Matrix" moves to keep his head/helmet out of the way of a guided one man wrecking crew!

Not that I condone hits like that; but keep up the great work Lockley–we are proud of you!

Yea I was pretty certain he would make the practice squad…I assume that is what he is talking about

Well he won't have to worry about paying it, at least not at the moment as the jags released. Buttt.. Lester Jean stuck, on IR but thats just a ploy to keep him on the team and not release him. He was FAU's best chance, in my humble football opinon, at a player sticking in the league that i've seen in the past four years.

Happy for Lestar as well. Unfortunate he injured his shoulder which possibly landed him on the IR. Housler and Rusty also stuck around. So we technically have 4 players at the next level.

Didnt see where they resigned him but thats good. Don't know how they get paid on practice squad but i don't think its full salary. In any case, that's good for him. The more players we can get to that next level and make a mark, the better for FAU and it's recruiting.
