They can say whatever they want on paper (and on their stadium awnings), but they were beaten and did not represent the conference as its champ.

Then you must REALLY hate the Pac-10.  Last year USC and Cal shared the Pac-10 title.  Both had 2 conference losses.  Cal lost to USC and Arizona.

Southern Cal did beat Cal, but they lost to Oregon State and UCLA.

Notice the words Pacific 10 Conference Co-Champions under each team's 2006 Record.  The Pac-10 awarded both with the league title.  But I guess the Pac-10 is a BS league too.

Bob, I really don't care what Troy fans think on this matter.  If you aren't happy with the Sun Belt Conference and it's rules, then maybe your school should go back to the Southland where you can be in a conference where you can be happy.  It's apparent by the constant bitching by Troy State fans on this matter that you are unhappy in this league.  So you get up on the phone first thing tomorrow morning and tell Chancellor Hawkins you want to go back to the Southland and there is a large following of Trojan fans that want out of the Sun Belt because you don't like it's rules.

Maybe so, but it is what it is.  Troy State fans wouldn't hesitate to call themselves champions if they wound up losing to us and we wound up running the table with 6-1 conference records.  I promise you the Troy fans would absolutely declare themselves league champs shared with Middle Tennessee.

Actually Bob, you and the Trojans can say whatever you want on paper, but in the Sunbelt record book the conference title was shared, no ifs ands or buts about it. If you had taken care of business against stAte last year, this would be a non-issue. If stAte had only lost to MT than this would also be a non-issue. Troy has no one to blame but themselves for not having an outright championship last year.

If you don't like the "Co-Champ" title, then go back to the Southland.  You guy hate Wright Waters for awarding our school with a Sun Belt championship trophy last year.  You hate the Sun Belt administration for creating the rule allowing us to be awarded a Sun Belt championship trophy last year.

Maybe Greg Sankey is the kind of conference commissioner Troy State needs and the Southland is where you belong?  Did you ever make that call to Jack this morning, Bob?

When you purposely use a school's old name, you only bring more ridicule upon yourself. That said, for the sake of FAU, I'm finished with this tired topic.
