Bowl game? New Years Eve Bowl game! Ha ha!

I just got my student ticket today. One thing I dont like about it is that you have to buy/print ticket 2 hours prior to game (or so it says online). That is going to stop a lot of student the first game who hear about the game and think they can just do it 15 minutes ahead of time. When I got my ticket about 10 minutes ago I received seat "49" which I am guessing means only 49 students have figured this out with less than a week to go.

This system will create problems for the kids. Make it too difficult and they will do something else.

I just printed mine out today too. As did NJOwl (you're welcome for the help buddy lol). The process at first was a bit confusing, but shouldn't take long now that we have it figured out. I'm in "seat 20" but in "section ga5" so I hope that section 5 means that us students have been getting this out of the way ASAP…. Again I hope.

Hey all. Long time lurker, first post.

I've only been going to FAU since the spring, so this is my first football season. How do I get a student ticket? Am I too late for the first game? I don't recall getting an e-mail about a lottery.

Edit: Nevemind. I did get the e-mail. Printing my ticket out now. Go Owls!

Welcome WAO. You are not too late for the first game. There is no lottery and there likely won't be a restriction on tickets… although there are only ~7,000 for a 30,000+ student body.

From Athletics:
"All currently enrolled students are eligible for one (1) free ticket to each home game. Students will be able to log in to the MyFAU portal two (2) weeks prior to each home game clicking on the "Athletics" tab and following the instructions. Students must bring their printed ticket AND current Owl Card to the student entrance located at Gate 3 of the stadium on the day of the game. Gate 3 will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Tickets MUST be printed out prior to arriving at the stadium. "

Thank you! I figured this out as you were posting this. I always ignore the athletics emails and didn't notice it was about tickets. I'm pretty excited we get them for free, although it does make sense considering we pay that athletic fee. I've only been to a couple football games in my life, so count me in that group many on here are hoping will come out to the games. I have class until 3 on Fridays, so I'll definitely be at those two games. Hopefully we can get a few wins at home.

Yeah FAU bombards students with all sorts of mass emails - it's crazy.
