Special teams?

I didn't stick around the scrimmage very long but from what I could tell there was only one guy kicking the ball. I could be wrong but i know I saw only one kid working on field goals on the other field and then going into the brush to retrieve the balls by himself.

Christ, even my hope of us scoring three points at Clemson seems a little optimistic now. How about a safety guys? Might be our only hope of avoiding the shutout.

sweet! LOL. I think you are beginning to see the light. It's not the end of the tunnel, but the train heading straight for you. I hope you are going to be there for the game. Come and enjoy our hospitality. I think you will see some speed that game that you never knew existed. Jacoby Ford is faster than the speed of sound. After the kick off, you will hear a boom that you think is a cannon, but is actually the sonic boom of Jacoby starting to move.

Well Luzzifer, there may not be a whole lot of surprises in this game as pretty much everyone expects Clemson to beat FAU and they should for christ sakes but I think that you need to remember the one thing that FAU does have and that is speed. Our guys on Defense are ball hawks. They will absolutely fly to the ball, what we lack in size we make up for in speed. I know Clemson will be fast but don't think you all have the edge there, we are every bit as fast as your boys. The one thing that separates us from you all is the depth we have at the positions. We don't have the luxury of giving anyone rests if we want to win some games, where as you all do.

Hey furry, you do realize Ford is from our neck of the woods, right? He went to Cardinal Newman High, about 20 mins north of FAU.

Speed has never been a problem for FAU, there's plenty of Florida boys to go around.

President of the No Homers Club. Keepin' it real since 2001.

Uh… yeah.

If anyone going to Clemson is traveling from ANYWHERE in Florida, they know speed a lot better than Clemson.

UM defined the speed game when Howard took over in the early 80's and the rest of the country followed suit years later after UM was handling everyone they played.

FSU… speed all over defense.

UF… more good speed.

USF… speed from everyone's leftovers.

FIU… some more speed.

FAU… more speed.

So, as you can see, Florida knows speed. You never know, that boom may just be one of our solid ST players burying your boy Ford.

One thing that will NOT impress a bunch of Florida boys is speed...Florida is speed. If you want to talk smack...talk about size and depth, but not speed.

In the recruiting world, there is a very well known phrase. "I get my _____players from ______state or area of the country. Then I go to Florida to get my speed."

It's a well known secret. Ask your player D Coleman, about his upbringing here in Fla and how it relates to speed.

Jacoby was electronically timed at 4.16 40. That is sick and Aaron Kelly was just behind him at ~4.25. I don't think any of your guys will catch Jacoby in the open field. Your guys will have great fundamentals and execution and somewhat contain us, but if there is a break out on a play and Jacoby has the ball I don't think you would catch him. All the other players, yeah they're probably the same. If Rendrick, another WR, has the ball, I don't think you guys are strong enough to tackle him. He is the hulk and you wouldn't like him when he's angry!! ;)

I am not sure I believe a 4.16 40. there were rumors that Deion Sanders could run almost that fast but those were stories. I am having a hard time believing that time.
