40 times are garbage anyway. I love how they are always brought up, like they line the players up to run 40's for bonus points at the end of the game or something.

It's been said before, depth is key here. We don't have much of it so when your speedsters are catching their breath, our DBs are still out there. It will wear us down.

I tried to do a little research on this but it is hard to find anything definite about the 40 yard dash. There are training courses advertised online that promise to cut 40 yard times by improving running and starting techniques. Just improving your start can cut 1 to 2 tenths off your time. This will improve your 40 time but your not running any faster. Two guys can run at the same exact speed but the one with the better start reaction under testing conditions (not football game conditions) will have a better 40.

So yes I agree with Teambeer that it doesn't really mean much.
