Re: Spread

Spread

Is it up to 22?  Whoa, WAY TOO HIGH.  We'll win by about 14 unless FAUs' wheels totally come off which I don't expect to happen.

Re: Spread

no this is OLD NEWS…it is what the spread consultant first released…

the poster above is reitterating a media blog statement…

as soon as it came out the spread was immediately adjusted to 15.5 due to bets being flooded on FAU - as everyone else said the same thing…

Vegas immeidtaely reacted and dropped the spread…

Re: Spread

That's where you jump all over that bet and then jump all over the new spread so you actually have a chance to win BOTH BETS if they score inbetween.  A spread of 7 points between spreads is a HUGE MISTAKE.  Someone in Vegas is going to get their legs broken if this game goes down "wrong"…Savy betters are going to bet the house on this one if they think it'll end up between those two.

Vegas Insider Odds showed FAU as a 22-point underdog.  Either way, expect South Florida to cover.  The Bulls will be the toughest opponent the Owls see this year–not Kentucky or Oklahoma State.

Raider - I'd say UF will be the toughest opponent the Owls see this year - not USF.  They may be good but they werent last years national champs.  I hope we will be very competitive in both games though and do better than we did against UK and OSU.

And we will!  FAU will beat the spread and it will be FAU 27 - USF 21!  But only if FAU can eliminate mistakes (ie turnovers - Clayton).

And if and when we win then USF and the nation will give FAU much deserved respect much more so than the Minnesota win thanks to USFs wonderful ranking.

I see us being more in this game than in the UF game though no matter what.  Here I see a chance to pull off the upset - UF, not so much.

No way Florida Atlantic upsets South Florida.  The chances this time are even slimmer than that 28-point blow out loss at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington last weekend.  The Power Six schools on FAU's schedule are averaging over 40 points per game.  Unranked Oklahoma State hung 42 on FAU while nationally-ranked Kentucky put up 45.  And despite it's 1-4 record in a loss to FAU, Minnesota still put up 39.  Any reasonable better would have to expect #6 South Florida to at least match many of those point totals if not surpass them.  On the flip side, USF has only shown an ability to score against a bad Power Six school.  FAU was held below 20 against the two Power Six teams on the schedule with a pulse.

In this one, I see South Florida hanging over 40 while holding FAU under 20.  That means that South Florida will cover these 15.5 or 16 point spreads.  USF is dangerous and the best team in the Big East, and the Big East is one of the top two leagues in 1-A this season.

I stopped reading when you affirmed USF as #6. Also, the Big East is the 2nd best conference. ROTFLMAO!!!!!  Sounds like sour grapes, after you were manhandled by us.

Sour grapes I say. ;D

Can you happen to tell me what the Big East's record was last year in their bowl games?

SEC, BIG 12, and PAC 10 are all better than the BIG EAST…The BIG TEN might also be stronger.

That is probably the dumbest comment I think I have ever seen on this board. Talk about a homer, WOW! OK we get it you are a good team but to say you're better then Kentucky or UF is a joke. You're in the Big East not the SEC.

Then someone says OK State put up 45, Kentucky 42 so USF will put up at least 40… Both of those games were on the road, and even if Minnesota put up 39 we still beat them, that's all that really matters. That's like saying WVU committed 7 turnovers and USF barely beat them. Yeah? so? you still beat them

Kentucky has a heisman hopeful in their QB and their offense is MUCH better then yours. If FAU can limit the turnovers and keep your D from taking over the game, FAU will win

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!
