The difference though is another year of experience. McKinson's confidence will grow and he will continue to do better. I know O.G. you have seen the kid that is the 4 or 5 star player in High school but peaked in his senior year. Yes, he is still a terrific athlete but will only improve slightly to fit the next level. Then you have kids like McKinson that will peak about there second or third year of college. They look like night and day.

My sarcasm was wasted on that one liner. ;D
Just wondering. Is he(Coach) ready to mold his offense around the scrambler who has improved his throws?

Hopefully that extra year's experience will get him some quality time at the position with the "A" team. This spring is very big for him. He will either get his shot now or have a VERY hard time in 2007. If he can get a grasp on the QB slot it will be a good fight for the starting position going into the fall. If Coach Schnell name Clayton by the 2nd week of practice, then McKinson is in trouble this season barring any major injuries. An uphill battle all the way. Now if Coach leaves it open till the final Spring scrimmage, he may just have a legit shot at the job next fall.

Of course these are my unprofessional and unsolicited opinions. It's always easier standing outside looking in.

Good blog by Marcus. He always seemed fair when dealing with FAU. He will focus on some positives when there are some(we've had a few.. ;D..) and not delve into the negatives constantly just for FAU sound bites.

I think what he has started with the blogs as a neat idea - it must allow him a little more freedom to express his thoughts on FAU football.

I would suggest to all poster here to add his blogs to your list of favorites and pick his brains on his commentaries he makes of the spring practices. This is one way of showing our support not only for his efforts on his coverage on FAU, but as fans of FAU.

I agree Bytor, all posters here need to keep up on his blogs and post so as much information is posted about FAU Football as possible. The more people see the interest the more will hopefully show up for the games.

GO OWLS!

Also remember, I'm sure the more hits his blog gets the better it is for how much coverage FAU gets. If the higher-ups see that a lot of people are looking at his blog, I'm sure it will only help to bolster how the paper views the interest in FAU.

Hey OG, is there a way we can make Marcus Nelson's blog a sticky thread so it's always at the top of the football discussions?
