FAU should stand for Frustrated Alumni University.

We have 1000 die hards that want a stadium.

and of those 1000 die hards, you don't think any of them are Alumni that are frustrated at the University?

That was exactly my point.  We have 1000 frustrated and passionate fans.  It would be great if we had more passionate fans to make a difference and then we wouldn't be in the situation we are in.

Re: Stadium Decision Pushed Back to September

The stadium is such an important key to the success of the football program.  It will help with recruiting.  Better recruiting generally makes better teams.  Better teams win more and more fans show up.  Most teams are more successful at home. A new stadium will give us more home games.  A new stadium on campus will get more students to show up to support the team and some will eventually be enthused alumni.  Plus with all the conference expansion taking place, no conference would offer FAU without a new/better/bigger stadium.  And so on.

Flip Flop Football | State switch leaves FAU scrambling on stadium)

"State switch leaves FAU scrambling on stadium"

"FAU figures $5 million will get in under the “functional relationship” guideline when you add in the infrastructure that the dorms and stadiums will share.

So the task now is to figure out how to come up with the rest of the money"

Re: Stadium Decision Pushed Back to September

Can't help but wonder if there's some anti-FAU conspiracy going on here… like the BOG (mostly UF graduates) are worried about FIU and UCF's recent success and don't want other schools (FAU, but also FGCU, UNF and FIT have publicly expressed interest in future football programs) to detract from bringing the brightest students and media attention to UF.
